Ekso™ at Gaylord makes it possible to walk again

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is the only hospital in Connecticut to offer the Ekso bionic exoskeleton.

This advanced robotic technology helps individuals re-learn proper step patterns and weight shifts necessary for walking. Individuals benefit from increased exercise and function, and with the use of special software called Variable Assist, Gaylord’s physical therapists can improve their patients' strength by fine-tuning the amount of assistance needed to help walking for either leg.

Our team of advanced rehabilitation experts uses intensive therapy, cutting-edge technology, research and support to help individuals with disabilities reach their personal goals. If you have a goal of standing or walking again, you may benefit from this remarkable technology. Go ahead, get in touch. The view looks better from up here.
